There is no "black dye run". Black dye has just the same chance as dropping as say, a green dye.

There really is no Black Dye farming. It can drop anywhere from anyone. What you want to find is a group of enemies that drop a lot of dye's. For instance, the Raptor farm outside Rata Sum in EOTN. During the Farewell Gaile Weekend, I farmed all 3 groups with my warrior in NM (not killing the boss) and had 4 black dye's drop during the whole weekend. I walked away though with like 20+ of every dye but white. Only 1 dropped for me.
Just find a good farm spot that drops a lot of dye and it will improve your black dye drop chance, but not much.

Some things have a higher chance than others of dropping dye, usually stuff that is lower level or does not have many possible drops, but the odds of a red dropping over a black is the same for every single creature in the game.
Believe me, if someone found a black dye farm, it would not take long at all for black dye to become useless.

i found a really high number of black dyes drop from the kilroy dungeon, i got them and about 8 lockpicks in about 15 runs. and this was in nm
i also found that i got a lot of dye drops from the glints challenge destroyer farm. other than them 2, none really stick out in my mind

Dye Farming
http://="http://www.guildwarsguru.co...96128&page=6"]
Now this is a link to my tweaked(but not my build)Raptor Runner.I average 1-3 dyes a run.And usually after about an hour(1-2 min a run)the dyes stop dropping(no clue why).I then do 5 Snowman runs and the raptors reset. My last run netted me 3 silvers 2 reds 2 blues 2 whites 1 black. Now whereas I realize that is not specific Black Dye farming I have found my most success dye farming from there.Usually I get crap loads of green, brown, orange, etc etc,but figured I would mention the "big ones".Hope that helps.

Pre-searing? You probably should have mentioned that earlier
A good dye-run is right out side of Ashford Abby, with the quest 'Bandit Raid'. It spawns ~15 really easy bandits, that can easily be killed with any sort of AoE (Cyclone axe, Fire Storm, or Symbol of Wrath are great), and it takes ~1 minute a run.
Another good way of making pre-searing money are Charr Boss runs. With Charr Salvage kits going ~5k, and bags worth something too (Havn't kept up on the pre-economy) and plenty chances at blue armors and purple weapons, you can make some quick cash if you're lucky.
And btw, It's believed that dyes do have a higher drop rate in Pre, and are very very easy to farm.

Yeah I don't think that Green dye and Black dye have the same drop rate, if that were true then I would have 39 black dyes.

There's no black dye farming spot - HOWEVER, there was a thread about a year ago (can't find it atm) that had some massive statistics proving that there seemed to be a higher drop rate in 2 places moreso then anywhere else - them being "Pre" and "UW." The drop rate comparisons/numbers were based off of "solo-farming," and after soloeing UW and pre both quite often, I do seem to always get a ton of dyes (all colors). Sry I can't find the hard evidence, but do what you will with it .

NM Raptor Nestlings is the best location to farm dye, I've picked up at least 2 dozen black dyes there.
If you're after blacks this is the spot. They won't drop by the truckload but they will drop eventually. Don't expect to make money farming black dyes, you'll make far more selling the unid golds, merch food and weapon mods that also drop on the run.
[edit] Just checked...3 characters in black armour + 18 blacks and 18 whites in storage, along with over 900 of the other colours.
At least 75% of those dyes have come from farming Raptor Nestlings and i rarely farm them outside of event weekends.

I've got a stack and a half of green dyes that says this is plain wrong. Or is 300 green-2 black not enough?
